Although there are no currently approved therapies, corticosteroids or steroid-sparing immunosuppressants are often used empirically to treat PM/DM-ILD.

Lung Transplantation:^9,12

Typically used as a life-saving approach in patients with end-stage PM/DM-ILD disease.

Supportive Care:¹³

• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Pulmonary rehabilitation
• Oxygen
• Vaccinations
